    Most of the olden time marriage customs are gone out of fashion now. Long ago the couples used go to the marriage on horseback each couple on the one horse going, the bride in front but sometimes they race home. Generally in this locality there was a special man or woman for making matches and these people gave themselves the name of match-makers and those who wanted a match made consulted them and got their help.
