  1. There are about twenty forts in my school district. They are nearly all within view of each other.
    There was an entrance hole in the centre of two of them in olden times but they are now closed in.
    One of these forts is situated about a quarter of a mile from my house. It is in Mr. D. O'Connell's land.
    In former times a man named Jermiah Disulia went into the hole in the centre of the fort. He travelled a part of it with candle light. He stated that there were a few flights of stairs and some fine rooms in it.
