  1. Here is a story my mother told me :-
    A woman was milking her cows one night which was the eve of May Day. When she had finished milking she saw what she thought was a piece of butter stuck on to one of the pillars of the stall. The same woman tried to make butter the next day but found that she could not.
    The pishogue remained on the pillar for a week and during all that time the woman could not make any butter. When the pishogue faded away she was able to make the butter again.
