    Long ago shouts of distress of alarm were carried from glen to glen by men and women who were skilled in the art of shouting in a particular way. When the puililiú was hear work was suspended and neighbours flocked together to ascertain what was the news.
    It was remarkable the speed with which messages were conveyed in that way.
