    In olden times the tailors came to houses to make the peoples clothes. When a person wanted a suit of clothes he went to the draper's shop and brought home a piece of cloth with lining, buttons and thread so as to have everything ready for the tailor. Then the tailor was asked to come to the house to make the suit. He first took the measure of the person he was making the suit for. He then cut the cloth on the kitchen table according to measure. He then sat up on the table with his legs crossed and it took him about three days to make the suit. It was all done by hand sewing as there were no sewing machines at that time. There were several tailors on journey namely, James Buckley known as Jim the tailor. John Duggan and his son
