    May, the 20th August and on the 20th November. William Breen got the fair field from Daniel Cronin Coltsman when he got into bankruptcy and put it up for sale and Mr. Denis Breen, John Batt and Denis and Paddy Herlihy gathered the tolls while Davy Cronin gathered them at the eastern end of the village.

    There were fairs held in Rathmore and the cattle were there but no buyers came. The next day the buyers came but there were no cattle and ever since there were no fairs in Rathmore. The fair was held on the 14th of every month.
