  1. There was a hag there long ago and she fell in love with a man named Oscar. Oscar did not want to marry her and every time he saw the hag he ran from her. One day when the Fianna were out hunting they saw the old hag coming towards them. When she was near the men she noticed Oscar among them. Oscar ran and she followed him. Oscar was standing up on the cliff and he jumped from the cliff and fell into the river. The hag came along and she jumped from cliff to cliff.
    That is why this place is called "Coiscéim na Callaige"
