  1. There was a man coming home from roving one night. He was going past a fort and a man came out and carried him in. He was not long inside when the people of the fort carried him out in a field playing, football. As he was playing he noticed that they were all playing against him so he got cross and abused them. He was about to go home when one man caught him and pulled him into the fort again. While he was inside the other players came in and beat him. Then they carried him out of the fort and let him home. As he was going along he heard horses gallopping after him but he could see nobody. When he reached home he was ill and went into bed and died.
