   The birds commonly known in our district are the robin, the thrush, the blackbird, the wren, the crow, the magpie, the pigeon, the sky lark, the lady wagtail, the sparrow, the jackdaw, the yellow hammer, the squall crow, the hawk, the cuckoo. The robin builds her nest on the side of a fence she lays about five eggs. The thrush builds her nest on a bush, she lays about four eggs. The blackbird lays four eggs, she builds her nest on a bush. The wren builds her nest in an ivy tree she lays about fifteen eggs. The crow builds her nest on the top of a tree she lays about four eggs. The magpie builds her nest on the top of a tree, she lays about eight eggs. The pigeon builds her nest on a tree she lays two eggs. The sky lark builds her nest on the grass she lays three eggs. The
