  1. At commencement of Queen Victorias reign one of the worst storms in record occurred in Ireland. it was in the year 1839 It blew at a velocity varying from 90 to 100 miles per hour. It knocked down most of the houses all over the country and some Entire villages were swept away. Most of the forest trees were uprooted more of them fell on to the public highways and rendered the roads impassable so that traffic was held up for some time. Some people wer killed within their own homes as the roof fell on them. Most of the large birds wer carried off by the storm and were never seen again. After this terrible storm
