  1. Marriages take place most frequently during Shrove-tide, and during the month of June in this district. May and November are the most unlucky months of the year for marriages. Monday Wednesday and Friday are the most unlucky days for marriages. Money is given as a dowry. Stock and goods are given on rare occasions. Any people dont remember.
    Matches are made very often in our district. Marriages took place in the houses about eighty nine years ago. The local customs are, the throwing of rice, the throwing of old shoes, and the cutting of the wedding cake.
