  1. A halo round the sun or moon. Stars become clouded. Clouds become nearer to the earth and dark in appearance are signs of rain. Rainbow in the evening for good weather.
    When the stars are numerous and bright it is the sign of frost and when the stars are moving in the sky it is the sign of rain.
    When the clouds roll in the sky it is the sign of rain
    Southern wind and south-west wind for rain. North wind for snow. East wind for hard dry weather. The south wind brings most rain to the district of Scarteen.
