  1. Herbs
The most harmful weeds growing in this district are the nettle, dockleaf, scutchgrass and buacalán. These grow in rich land therefore causing havoc to crops. Other weeds are chicken weed, slanlus, cassearban, dandelion and bainne-cioc-ean.
Nettles are used for food and also rubbed to the affected part to cure rheumatic pains.
Dockleaf is used to take away the poison of a nettle sting. The seeds of the dockleaf are given to fowl.
Chicken weed is also given to fowl.
Slanlus is used to stop bleeding.
Dandelion is used to sure kidney trouble, it is boiled and the juice drank.
