- The treasure was supposed to be hidden at Knockduff, in the Parish of Clonfert, (Newmarket) Barony of Duhallow, Co Cork.
It was supposed to be placed there by an English Outlaw. Why? it is not known.
A man named Jeremiah O'Connor of Knockduff dreamt for three nights in succession, that a crock of gold was hidden near a bridge at Knockduff.
After the third night's dream, he set out for the bridge in search of it, but could not find it(continues on next page)- Informant
