  1. There is a field in Kilmacrane in my Uncle's land. The fairies play football there every night. One night a man was coming from Cork. He saw the football roll on the road before him. He gave it a kick and jumped inside the fence after it. No sooner had he landed on the field than people were heard saying "We have him now" He went home and died that night. It is thought that the did not really die, but was taken away by the fairies, because he was such a good footballer.
