  1. Kilmacrane is about five miles from Banteer. There is a field there owned by Charles Mc. Carthy. There are six graves in the field, since the famine years. One evening my Grandmother and some other children were coming from school. They went into the field to see the graves.
    One girl jumped up on the graves and said "I am jumping down on the dead" A woman rose out of the graves and ran after the girl. She caught her leg when jumping the first fence. The girl went home and never left the bed until she died.
