  1. All the local fairs are held in towns. The nearest of these towns to this district is Newmarket, where twelve old established cattle fairs (one each month are held yearly. Sheep and bonhams are also sold at these fairs.
    The fairs are held in a field near the Main Street that is called the "Fair Field" for which a toll is paid to the O'Shea family on every animal sold at the following rates:
    Bonhams
    Sheep 2d each
    Yearlings 3d "
    Cows 4d "
    6d "
    When a bargain is made the parties concerned signify their agreement by word of mouth.
    The buyer then gives a ticket to the seller which the latter returns again to the buyer when
