    Cuts. An old cure for a cut was to wind a cobweb round the cut and the blood would be stopped immediately.
    Headaches. An old cure for a headache was to wet a cloth in very cold water and put it up to the head, with a drop of vinegar.
    Measles. An old cure for measles was to gather sheeps droppings and put them into a clean cloth and squeeze them into hot milk and drink the mixture.
    Nettle Stings. An old cure for a nettle sting was to damp a dockleaf and put it up to the nettled part, and that would cure it.
    Toothaches. A Toothache was cured by putting bread soda into the tooth.
