  1. "The Dog Hole" is a hole in the river Martin near the Waterloo road. It is in the townland of Shéan, in the Parish of Blarney, Co. Cork. Long ago people used to (drom) drown dogs there when they were old.

  2. "The Fiddler's Corner" is situated between Wilson's Bridge and the Hydro Gate, in the parish of Blarney. It got its name from a fiddler who used to play a fiddle at the corner every Sunday evening. He came there for many years but was killed
