- Ciarán was a man that lived in Ballyvourney. He was digging his own grave a long time before he died. He had it built ten days before he died, then he built a wall around it. On a Whit-Sunday when some people were at the graveyard and say the grave where Ciarán was buried one of them wrote on a stone over the gravePray with all your might
From nightfall until dawn
For the glorious ressurrection
Of the man they call Ciarán
