  1. On morning as Phoebus shone bright brilliant and radiant
    When Flora's decorations had painted the green
    With footsteps wild and wayward from Milstreet I roved eastward
    To view the Navigation with its greatly pleasing scenes.
    While absorded in contemplation I pondered in amazement
    Admiring each plantation and fair spreading lawn
    That had won its celebration for that far-famed dwelling station
    Its proper appellation and name is Drishane.
    These the trees are een the straightest and the loftiest in the nation
    The branching oak most stately grows there in prime
    The sycamore adjacent, the ash no less inferior
    The fir so elevated and the shady black pine
    The apple-tree most pleasing, the cherry in
