Many people believed (& some still believe) in the Sprid but not so OBrien & he shows his disbelief as follows:------
    Is fada annsúd mé
O tuais go deire mo shaoghail
    A' feitheamh i's a suibhal
    An úr cnuich beantuithe naomh
    Ní fheachas annsúd
Aon púca na spríd ar a thaobh
Agus deirim, is dubhairt ó thúais
    Na raibh ann ach bréag
