    There was a "Plantation" in Tullig about the years 1834-39.

    There was a "Plantation" in Tullig.

    about the years 1834-39.
    In May 1839 Ruby was "planted" in the farm now owned by Mr ODonoghue.
    Previous to that there were others nearer Millstreet The Kellihers were ousted from Tullig & forced to build themselves hovels in a bog on the slope of Mushera where their descendants have prospered. & reclaimed the land.
    O'Brien gives a description of what he noticed at their arrival.
