Up for noble Paddy from Dromagh near Banteer.
    IV
He was as fine a drummer boy as ever yet was known,
His melodious sound would murmur round through woodlands glen and vale,
The strangers there admiring him and tis soon they'll hear the cheer,
Up for Noble Paddy from Dromagh near Banteer.
Noble Paddy (Patrick Forde) now resides at Liscahane Millstreet in one of the newly-built cottages. In his young days he lived at Dromagh near Banteer and was a member of the famous "Dromtariffe Football Team" He was also a member of the Dromtariffe Brass Band.
The above was composed by John Kelleher, Cloghoolabeg, Millstreet his neighbour.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
