    When there is a halo round the moon and when it is clouded.
    When the clouds are black. A rainbow in the morning. When the wind is from the South and West. If the crows fly lowly or fly to and fro going to bed.
    If the swallows are flying low.
    When tame geese fly. When wild geese fly South. When the ducks quack loudly. If sea-gulls come inland. The cat turns its back to the fire. If dogs eat grass.
    When the sheep come down off the hill. If the fox barks.
    When the sky is black. When the hills seem to appear near.
    When the cement floor seems to sweat. If the soot falls.
    If the smoke blows in around the house. When spiders creep from their webs. When the ground is covered with snails. When the worms are on the road. If ants fly and when the frogs change
