  1. The children except two form a straight line and catch hands. One sits behind a fence called Jenny Joe and the other sits on the fence called the mother. The children stand back from the mother and they come towards her singing the following words.
    "We came to see Jenny Joe, Jenny Joe, Jenny Joe;
    We came to see Jenny Joe, Where is she now."
    They march back again and while they are marching the mother answers.
    "Jenny Joe is washing clothes, washing clothes, washing clothes. Jenny Joe is washing clothes so you can't see her now."
    They come towards her again
