    Last week as I read out the news paper where an Irishman did sail away.

    Last week as I read out the news paper where an Irishman did sail away.
    In hopes for to seek out employment as thousands before him did stray.
    He resolved for to travel to England to seek labour up or down.
    But he never disowned where he came from in Kerry a place called Miltown.
    One evening while walking through London he met with John Bull on the way.
    He says good evening Pat and where are you bound for and those are the words he did say.
    When did you land our shore or do you blong to the Fenians we had in the year sixty four.
    Says Pat do not talk about Fenians as he looked at John Bull with surprise.
