  1. One evening as my grand mother was coming home after attending evening devotions, she stood in front of Captain Stoyts house on Green Hill. Knowing that he was dead she said "May the Lord have Mercy on you Mister Stoyt." When she looked up at the window of the room in which he was laid out, She saw him standing there, she kept on staring up until at last he disappeared in a shadow. Then she began to move slowly away till she reached the Bowling Green Gate. Here a hand caught her by the shoulder and a voice said "Tish" into her ear and from that day until the day
