  1. There were four land lords in this parish long ago, namely Lord Bandon, Smith Barry, Mr. Galway and Mr. Beamish. Lord Bandon was the wealthiest of these. and Smith Barry was the best because he used allow money to the people for building houses.
    The first landlords who got possession of the land were soldiers belong to Cromwell's army. All the latest land lords in this parish were Protestants except Mr Galway.
