  1. Crewboy gets its name from a hill that is in it called Leaca na Gcirc which contains very yellow soil and rock. There are a few streams flowing from this hill and the water is also yellow.
    Green Field gets its name from the extra green shade of its fields.
    Little Island. because there is a stream of water flowing all around the land, and it is flowing under the road in one place, and forming as it were an island.
