Culfar a root somewhat like a small carrot is found growing in rich meadows. It was found an excellent cure for hurts, sprains, strains, and bruises. The root should be cropped up into mincemeat boiled into jelly and then applied as a poltice to the effected part. It used to soften like embrocation and had a great healing power.
