  1. It is called Dún Uí Cobhtaig in Irish Dún is a fort and there is a fort there. There lived in the castle a great chieftain called Cowhig. The ruins of the castle remain there always. It is called after that great chieftain. He had four children and one of them fell down the rocks and was killed. The other three went away to America.
