    When seagulls are pitched on the land.
    When the cat is lying near the fire
    When a persons corns are aching.
    When you hear the sea in the Red Strand roaring. When the wind is blowing heard especially from the north.
    If a rain coat got very heard and ruff. If the stars were lighting in the sky and the moon covered with a misty cloud.
    Signs of fine weather.
    If the sky is very red in the north in the evening. If the smoke goes up straight out the chimney or if the soot is falling down. If the Sun went down red in the evening. If the sea was very calm. If you could see the old head of Kinsale flashing very brightly or if the night was very bright and the moon clear.
