  1. Treasures in Hiding
    There is a fort situated in the town land of Courlea it belongs to Denis O'Keeffe. It is in a small field surrounded by very high ditches. This field is never ploughed up for crops. In the olden times there was an under-ground passage which was supposed to be haunted by the fairies. On one occasion two local men went down this passage and came upon the remains of a turf fire which seemed to have been lighting the previous night. There was also the remains of food as though a meal had been eaten the night before. This was immediately reported
