shot him. The Canon said "OO shame shame shame."
He went to the Canon next. He made him kneel down on the footpath. He was making him say something and some people it was "to hell with the Pope." The Canon said "O no no no." Then he shot him. Mr Brady was after going away. They threw the bodies in over the fence. Then the lorries drove away.
Some one went for the priest and Fr Carmody went east to annoint the bodies. He went as far as Fanlobbus and he turned back again. As he was coming back he saw the Canon's dog jumping over the fence. He went in and found the bodies. In the meantime the lorries were after coming again. They threw the bodies into the lorry and the priest went away with them.
In this spot there is a monument erected by the public. It is erected at Ballyhalwick. The bodies were buried at St Patrick's cemetry in Dunmanway. The public erected two monuments to their graves. This is the inscription in the monument where the murder was commited.
