  1. Travelling folk still visit my home. Some of them are poor and others are not. Mr. Boyd comes in a donkey and cart and sells articles such as laces and pictures. Sometimes the people buy goods from them. Some of them are not welcome because if you did not buy from them they would be very angry.
    In olden times if they came to a place for the night they would travel the district the day after and come for the night again. In the kitchen they usually sleep as there is a bed made up for them on the settle.
