    As I went out walking one morning in spring to hear the birds whistle, and the nightingale sing.

    I would give all the riches in High - Germany,
    For one kiss from my, Buachaill na gruaige breágh buidhe.

    He says "My pretty Mary, I'm no stranger to thee
    It was late on last night, when I drove from Tralee;
    So get yourself ready, and come along with me,
    For I am your own buachaill na gruaige breágh buidhe

    This couple got married, I hear people say;
    And off to Killarney they drove the next day;
    They are now safely married in the town of Tralee,
    They are as happy as can be
    With Grádh Geal mo croidhe.
