    Between a woman and a man,
    She told him very quickly how the times were getting on,
    Some have gold and silver and more notes than I have pence,
    And more people in the world that have got but little sense.
    When you go to the town Pat with potatoes, oats, or hay.
    You're apt to meet your comrade,
    And then get drunk that day.

    So thats the way from day to day,
    The world goes I'm sure
    Some are rolling in riches and others very poor.
