John Bull, an English man,
He went on tramp one day.
With threepence in his pocket
To take him on his way.
He travelled miles and miles
And no one did he see
Until he fell in with an Irish man
By the name of Paddy McGee.

"Good morning Sir," said Johnny.
"Good morning Sir," said Pat.
"Where are you going" says Johnny,
"I'm going the road that's flat"
"Have you got any money about you"
says Johnny unto Pat.
"Faith tis the only thing I wanted for
I have not got a rap."

They trudged along together
Met a Scotchman on their way.
"Lend us a bob now Scotty
For to help us on our way."
"Lend you a bob," says Scotty,
"Faith and sure," said he,
