  1. In this district match making is done very often. It is usually done by farmers. Parents of the two that are getting married mett in some place, and talk about the marriage. After making the agreement, they settle about the dowry. Sometimes money is given, and sometimes stock or goods are give.

  2. Marriages most frequently take place during Shrove and in Easter.
    Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are thought unlucky for marriages.
    Money is given as dowry now. A wedding feast is held in the wife's house. The people attending the wedding used to race against each other on horse back back on the way home.
