  1. Old Roads
The road leading to my house branches from the main road from Ballydehob to Skibbereen, and ends at the 'away. It was made about the year 1883. The men working in the road got nine shillings a week. The people paid extra for rates for the making of the road. It is called the Wester land road. There is an old road beginning below where Lynch lives, and passing Burke's house, and ending at the tide. It was used before the new road was made.
