  1. The Lady Charlotte
    Come all you brother mariners.
    And listen to my song.
    And likewise pay attention.
    I wont detain you long.
I belong to the Lady Charlotte
    From Lima we set sail.
    Homeward bound for Liverpool.
With a sweet and pleasant gale.
    2
    Our cargo, it consisted
    Of dollars and great store.
    Barks, seeds, hides, wool.
    Gold dust and silver ore.
Our captain's name was George Mac Gill.
    A man of skill profound.
Our jolly crew in perfect health.
And our good ship tight and sound.
    3
Our hearts were light, and cheerful.
    Our spirits they were great.
Until we reached the Irish coast.
    Most dreadful to relate.
The wind, it blew a hurricane.
    Regardless of our might.
Which drove us on the Barrel Rocks.
