- (continued from previous page)Travellers of recent years were Denis Collins from Baltimore, John Relihan from Millstreet, Mick Sullivan from Baile Dán, Annie Mooney from Cork, Mary O' Donoghue from Shibbereen and Jeremiah O' Donovan from Kilcrohane. Some of the travellers visit the district for certain days such as for days of races and regattas.
- Travelling Folk
"Jerry the Quality" Jeremiah O' Donovan was born at O' Donovan's Cove Kilcrohane. He was nicknamed "Jerry the Quality" because he was a very well-learned respectable man when he was young. He spent some time in College after which he bought a hotel in Cork. After a while he went to England but he got odd and had to return home and go begging.
