  1. Old Mill
    This townland is so called from a wind-mill which was erected in one of the fields there.
    Cabhail an Bhachaig
    is a field where there was an old school. The school master was Peg-Leg because he had a wooden leg. The ruins of this school was used afterwards by travelling men. It derives its name from an old lame man who always came there when he was in the district.
    Páirc na h-abhana
    so called because of a well near it which is in use for at least one hundred years and never went dry.

    so called because of a forge there owned by the Hayes family.

    Libeen (Leidhbín)
    There is an old ruin of a Chapel on Libeen Hill east of Hayes' house. It was in this chapel Mass
