    Fifty years ago a man whose name was O'Mahony dwelt in "Spike" now a part of the town-land of Dreenlomane. He used to "set a charm," and cure a person or animal from "blood letting." He was the seventh son of the family.

    "Wash your face in water that was never rained or ran,"
    "And dry it with a towel that was never woven or spun."
