  1. I have heard about the Great wind from my Grandmother who does not remember it but she has heard tell of it.
    About ninety six or ninety seven years ago a fierce wind blew over this country. It swept all this district and greatly affected the fishermen in Dunmanaus Bay. In this locality houses were knocked cattle were killed and ricks were knocked and an amount of damage done.
    I have heard my uncle say that about ten years ago when in America he read an account of the Great Wind in an American Paper.
