    In that school all sorts of step-dancing were held such as The Reel and Jig, the Four Hand Reel. The Hornpipe, The Humours Of Bandon, The Job Of Journey Work, The Black Bird, The Keelroe, and St Patricks Day.

  2. There lived a famous jumper in Ballybawn by the name of Mike Cahalane. This famous jumper won prizes throughout West Cork.
    It is said that if he were trained he would hold his own with the very best of them. He used jump six feet one and over. He was also a good long jumper he used go twenty three or twenty four feet.
