- There are many signs by which the people expect rain.
The sun is hidden, The sky is completely covered with clouds. The setting sun is pale and sinks in a mass of round shaped darked clouds.
The moon is pale. There is a large ring around it. It may be racing towards the clouds. The new moon laying on its back is taken as a sign of much bad weather to come.
The stars are dull and few of them are seen.
The wind is strong from the Fastnet - south west.
