    There are two forts in Ballybawn, they are situated about a quarter of a mile from each other. The lower one is known as Lisavoher and the upper one is known as Lisabogy also known as Lisaborth.
    It is said that there is a crock of gold hidden in Lisavoher with two fierce dogs minding it. There are lights seen in Lisavoher every Hallowe'en at midnight.
    I heard this from my father. My own name is John Barry, Ballybawn, Ballydehob County, Cork. October 28th 1937
