    When a horse is sold the seller gives away the halter with him. When cattle are sold ropes are never given away with them.
    Toll is paid in Bantry fair. When cattle are being driven to the railway station, a toll collector stands at the entrance to the station. He is given sixpence for every beast that goes past.
    Luck money is also paid at the fairs. The usual luck money is half a crown for each head of cattle, and a shilling for each pig If the price is small the buyer and seller fix on a clear price.
